2026年1月16日，双威大学代表莅临芙蓉中华中学，举办可持续发展目标（SDGs）分享会，向英文组教师分享该校在校园落实联合国可持续发展目标的实践经验。

来宾包括双威大学的可持续发展与资产管理部高级经理Eileen Khor女士、Chan Yit Sun、设施服务总监负责人Linda Tan Kim Lian等。

会上，主讲人分享的实践包括太阳能系统、净水设施、零塑料校园、资源回收、堆肥计划及校园绿化等项目。活动亦设有互动讨论环节，教师们就相关理念如何在本校落实进行交流与探讨。

本次分享会为教师们提供了切实可行的灵感、明确的策略方向及推动行动的信心，也标志着芙中在可持续发展目标的引领下，朝着更具环境责任感与社会意识的校园迈出了重要一步。

On 16 January 2026, a meaningful Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Sharing Session led by Ms. Janice Lim from Sunway University, who shared valuable insights on how SDGs are implemented across the Sunway University campus.

The sharing session aimed to introduce teachers to the concept, importance, and real-world application of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, while also showcasing concrete sustainability projects that have been successfully carried out by Sunway University.

During the session, Ms. Linda Tan highlighted several impactful sustainability practices at Sunway University, including:

    • The installation of solar panels to reduce carbon emissions

    • Water filtering systems to promote safe and sustainable water use

    • A zero-plastic campus initiative

    • Food price discounts to support students from less-privileged backgrounds

    • A comprehensive recycling centre collecting old clothes, paper, and unused electronic gadgets

    • The use of clear signage at recycling bins to raise awareness and encourage proper waste segregation

    • The establishment of a herb garden

    • Composting programmes using food waste to reduce landfill disposal

Beyond sharing best practices, the session also included an interactive brainstorming segment, where CHHS teachers actively discussed ideas with the Sunway University team. This exchange allowed teachers to reflect on how similar sustainability projects could be adapted and implemented within the CHHS school context.
